This past winter, one of our most recent alumni—skier Nolan Kasper—had some incredible success on the world stage of ski racing. Coming back from a slew of injuries that sidelined him for almost three years, Nolan made his comeback on the North American Cup circuit, which features some of the best young American and Canadian racers. In Panorama, British Columbia, Nolan grabbed a win, which earned him a spot in the January World Cup in Wengen, Switzerland, one of the most famous hills on the World Cup circuit. In the race, Nolan moved from the 50th start position to 20th place, earning him valuable world cup points. This result qualified him for the Olympics in South Korea, where he was one of three skiers representing the United States in the slalom discipline. Nolan’s rapid ascension back into the elite ranks of skiing was truly impressive after such a long layoff, and we think it’s safe to say all the rehab Nolan did in the basement paid off!
